JAMES G. SHUHART December 24, 1918 March 19, 2011 James G. Shuhart was born December 24, 1918 in Healdsburg, California and died peacefully in his sleep on March 19, 2011 in McMinnville Oregon. He was proud to be considered a member of The Great Generation being he was a veteran of World War II as well as providing career service in the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. He enjoyed reading and writing and was the author of The Settling of Shuhart Ridge which was a family history of homesteading in northern California. He is survived by, son; Thomas Shuhart, daughter in-law; Dia Shuhart, of Salem, Oregon, daughter; Mary Inoue, , son in-law; Mike Inoue, of San Diego, California, daughter  Betty Smith, son in law, Ken Smith, of Corvallis, Oregon eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother and father, Effa and George Shuhart. Also, his wife of 53 years, Rosemary Shuhart. Visitation will be Wed. March 23rd from 9 am 5 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton, OR Private Family Services with burial at Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
