Jake Martin Champion, a beloved father, son, and brother, passed away in Salem, Oregon on September 19, 2023. Jake was born to Julie A. Champion on February 11, 1989. He was raised and attended school in Sublimity and Stayton. Jake furthered his education by by attending entrepreneur classes and receiving his certificate. Jake had a passionate heart and loved to help others. He excelled in the APOSTLE program with the Salvation Army and enjoyed helping the needy and homeless through this program.
Jake grew up in the Stayton and Sublimity areas and most recently worked as a gas station attendant. He found joy in helping others and the simple things in life.
Jake was a father to his son, Jett Champion. He also grew up with his brother Joshua Ruggles, with whom he shared many cherished memories. Jake's close relationship with his cousins, Ashley and Carla, are a testament to his deep love for family. Their shared laughter and camaraderie will be greatly missed.
Jake’s Champion’s legacy will be remembered through his son, his family, and the countless lives he touched.

Opening and closing of the proceeding to lay Mr. Champion will commence at Lone Oak cemetery in Stayton; his remains will be placed next to his mother’s Headstone on the 6th (Friday) of October 2023 at 3:00 p.m. (503) 506-2422 if you require assistance or inquiry; a family member may assist.
