Irene Pemberton, 85 of Statesville, NC died at home, Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. She was born in Airlie-Lewisville, OR, Jan. 24, 1925, on what is now Dancing Oaks Nursery. She was the only daughter of the late Henry Priem and Emma Stolk Priem. On Sept. 19, 1948, she married Dean Leroy Pemberton who preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2002. She retired December of 1986 as the lead recording clerk for the Marion County Clerk’s Office. She was a member of the Stayton Nazarene Church. After living 81 years in Oregon, she moved with her daughter, Dorothy to North Carolina in 2006. She spent her remaining years enjoying the active country wildlife. She loved gardening, African violets, music, reading and playing a variety of musical instruments. She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy (Donald) Bradham, of Statesville, NC, Caroline (Larry) Beagles, of Ontario, OR, and Linda Wineland of Salem, OR; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Services celebrating Irenes life will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton, OR.
