Iney Irene Bartholomew, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2024. Born on July 6, 1957, in Portland, Oregon to the late Phyllis Hunt and Wilber Bartholomew, Iney lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to those around her.
Iney graduated from Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon, in 1975. She pursued a career as a cook, where her passion for food and her caring nature shone through in every meal she prepared. After spending her early years in Portland, Iney moved to Stayton, Oregon, where she continued to touch the lives of many with her warm heart and generous spirit.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Iney found joy in camping and exploring nature. Her love for the outdoors was a testament to her adventurous spirit and her appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. Known for her heart of gold, Iney was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying the true essence of selflessness and compassion.
Iney is survived by her loving sister, Teresa McCoy, and her cherished niece and nephews, Madison McCoy, Bradley Rumpca, Kevin Rumpca, Logan Rumpca, and her partner Stephanie Angelica as they were each others one true love. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will always remember her for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. She would love to be remembered by the song, She’s Got Her Ticket by Tracy Chapman.
