Harry Philo White

Harry Philo White Jr. was born February 16, 1929, in Gates, Oregon to parents Una and Harry White Sr. Harry graduated from Mill City High School and Chemeketa Community College, earning an associate degree. Harry met his wife Marion in Mill City, Oregon on a blind date on New Year's Eve 1961. The couple were married on August 5, 1962. Together they had 2 children Heidi and Leslie. Harry worked at Simpson Plywood and after graduating from Chemeketa he went to work for the US Forest Service until he retired. Harry also spent some time being part of the Historical Society in Mill City. Some of his favorite hobbies were mountain climbing, hiking, and camping. Harry Philo White Jr. passed away January 19, 2022, at home in Sublimity, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his wife: Marion, and siblings: Edwin Seamster, Wanda Chance, Fauneta Lavine, and Zeta Troyer. Harry is survived by his children: Heidi and Leslie, grandchildren: Beth, Adam, and Trevor, and great-grandchildren: Kaysin, Hunter, Liz, Ahri, and Damon. Harry enriched the lives of those around him and he will be missed deeply.
