Greg Warden was born December 24, 1968 to Mike Warden and Connie Marie Large. The day he was born It was recorded as a drizzly Christmas Eve holding at a cool 46 degrees that year. Although it was drizzly and cold when he came into this world, the chill of the birthday had no bearing on his disposition. Greg went on to melt the hearts of many with his warm smile and friendly eyes as he made himself available to help those he loved as well as those he barely knew. Greg Warden was so very giving of his time and talents, this continued as he helped others where he saw need throughout his life. Greg began his working career while still in high school, learning early on how important it was to be dedicated and loyal to employers. In fact, one of Greg’s hobbies came from one of these earlier jobs in life working with his hands to bring about a functional finished project. Several of his family members benefited from Greg’s talents. In fact, Greg’s youngest child Sawyer still benefits from a gorgeous floating bed his daddy made especially for him a few years back. Before becoming ill, Greg would spend several years driving commercial big rigs for various companies. He made a modest living for his family and before too long they settled on a nice family home in Stayton Oregon. Greg first met his future wife back in high school, where they would spend lunch hours together, palled around as buddies and even double dated. Greg and his future wife would even bring dates for the doubles. After going separate ways, it was many years later their paths crossed again before becoming just one, marrying and having two children. Greg joined the LDS church and attended regularly when work permitted, even receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood. He was his mother’s first born, followed by a sister Michelle to whom he adored. Greg was blessed with a sister Missy (Michelle) and brother Karl when his mother remarried, who Greg would often look up to throughout his life. Another sister, Kristen and finally the youngest brother, Brandon. Being the eldest, Greg would often take care of his younger siblings and became quite close to them in those times. His father Mike has always been there for him showing love unconditionally. When needed, Greg’s mother Connie didn't hesitate to leave Hawaii and retirement to help with some of Greg’s care during the more difficult times. Greg suffered greatly with this illness but went through it with courage and faith right up to the last call he took that summoned him home. He passed peacefully right before breakfast, surrounded by his wife and children in the comfort of his home. Greg Olin Warden was 49 years old when he was summoned home. He will be missed. He is survived by his loving wife Lisa; children, Joe, Saedie, Sawyer, Ian and Logan; brothers and sisters, Karl, Michelle, Kristen, Michelle (Missy) and Brandon, as well as, many friends and family.
