February 25, 1933 – February 10, 2011 Gordon Davidson passed away on February 10, 2011 at OHSU in Portland. He was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on February 25, 1933. He began a lifetime of logging at the age of 16 with his father, Bill Davidson. After graduation from Gervais High School, he was drafted into the Army and served from 1953 to 1955. Gordon later founded Davidson and Son Logging in 1980. He married Shirley Ferguson in 1970. Hunting, Logging and NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhart) were among his favorite activities. His children and grandchildren as well as Barney brought him great joy. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Shirley, children; Tracy (Matt)Kindred of Salem , Mark (Margie) Davidson of Aumsville, Chris Sedberry of Salem, Charlotte Davidson ,Donna Smith both of Dallas, Mike (Cindy)Davidson of Sumpter, Rob (Tabitha) Davidson of Lyons, brothers; Bob Davidson of Salem, Doug Davidson of Keizer, 13 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton.
