Gloria May Schumacher

Gloria May Schumacher was born on May 4, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Anna (Vero) Schumacher. After graduating from Columbia Adventist Academy high school, Gloria would pursue many things in life such as a career in being a typist/transcriptionist, a mother and wife. She would live in Chicago, Texas, Colorado and Washington. But for the last several years of her life lived in Oregon. While living in Oregon, she worked for 21 years at Vick and Conroyd Law Firm in Salem, while raising her two sons, Robert and David. She was a dedicated employee who enjoyed her profession.

When not busy at work, Gloria was a wonderful mother who was crafty and often sewed many special items such as clothing and costumes. She would wrap Christmas gifts with special paper and bows, they were so beautiful no one ever wanted to ruin her work when time to open gifts.

Besides, being a wonderful mother, she was a wonderful wife. She met Allen Henry in 1996 through mutual friends and they would marry in 2000 on the island of Kauai. Gloria would spoil her family with excellent meals and her famous pumpkin eggnog swirl cheesecake. She would take a recipe and put her own twist on it, making it even more exceptional

Later in life when she became a grandmother, she enjoyed her time watching her grandchildren and doting on them. Gloria was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and attended church at Inside Out over the years. She always believed in people and gave any person the benefit of doubt.

Gloria will be remembered by her family as outgoing and a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed away at her home in Turner, Oregon on March 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gladys Cox, Robert Schumacher, Joann Sandquist. She is survived her husband, Allen Henry; children, Robert Evanson and David Evanson; grandchildren, Orion Evanson and Kaylee Ann Evanson in addition to her sister, Donna Evanson.
