Gloria Jean Flores

Salem- Gloria Jean Flores was born on April 2, 1948 in Salem, Oregon to Pete and Betty (Denton) Tablanza. She would attend Gervais High School before transferring to McNary High School to Graduate.  This is where she would meet Stephen Flores.  The two would start dating and soon after graduating High School the two would be married in Salem, Oregon. They would be married for 50 years before Stephens passing in 2017 and would welcome three children, Stephanie, Stephen Jr. and Ben.  Her family was very important to Gloria and she always made time to help care for and make memories with them.  In her younger years Gloria would work in the hop fields but would later stay at home with the children and then later her grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, cooking for anyone if they were hungry and going to cake decorating classes. She loved to watch western movies and read a lot of books.  On July 18, 2020 Gloria passed away in Salem, Oregon surrounded by family.  She was preceded in passing by her husband of 50 years, Stephen; parents Pete and Betty; and Brother Lee.  She is survived by her children, Stephanie, Stephen Jr. and Ben; Grandchildren, Jasmine and Nevaeh; and Siblings, Manuel, Esther and Albert.There will be a time for visitation from 2 pm to 5 pm on July 24, 2020 at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton, Oregon.
