Gilbert Wray Lawrence

On July 26, 2022, Gilbert Wray Lawrence of Washougal, WA passed away doing what he loved—playing pickle ball in the park with his friends. His true love however was his wife Phyllis of 14 years.

On July 18, 1934, Wilber and Bessie Lawrence of The Dalles, OR welcomed Gilbert into the world. After high school, he went on to graduate from Oregon State University where he became a beaver to the bone. Later, he joined the Air Force and was proud of his service. As a businessman Gilbert was a skilled negotiator in labor relations for many years.

After retirement, Gil loved to travel and saw much of the world including Europe, Asia and the Holy Lands with his wife, Phyllis.

Besides Phyllis, Gilbert is survived by his children Marlee Steele, Jeff Lawrence and Keri Johnson, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
