As a mom, Georgie was a wonderful homemaker, who could cook excellent southern food. Being with her family was always a top priority and when she was blessed with grandchildren, she found joy in teaching them how to play rummy. To this day her grandchildren would remark how “Grandma helped them with their math”. Besides playing games and gardening, Georgie also enjoyed traveling. She would find historical places to visit and was facinated by the old west. She also loved old Hollywood and could remember which actors/actresses played in certain movies, but her all time favorite was Singing in the Rain.
