George Washington Boger

Corvallis- George Washington Boger was born on October 16, 1933 in Manhattan, New York to Mary Thorneu and George Boger. George had 5 siblings John Boger, Robert Boger, Katherine Morrison, Evelyn Stein, and Lynn Gray. There was always someone to spend time with. He grew up in New York and graduated from James Monroe High School in 1952. George worked for the US postal service after high school land in 1954 he joined the Marines. In 1965, George married Barbara Downing. They had two sons Michael and Christopher. In 1978, the family moved to Oregon and George continued his work as a licensed builder.  They Later divorced. On January 3, 1999 in Corvallis, Oregon George Washington Boger married Janice Miner. George’s family increased with grandchildren, Simon, Holly, and Athena.  There were also step-children and step-grandchildren who deeply loved George. George was also an avid bridge player. He earned the level of  Gold Life Master 2018. On April 24, 2021 George passed away in Corvallis, Oregon. George was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Thorneu and George Boger, and his brother John, who passed away as a child.  George will be deeply missed by those who knew him, and he will forever live on in their memories.
