George Everette Sanders April 6, 1913 October 13, 2009 Aumsville, Oregon Resident George was born in Poteau, Okla., where he was raised on a farm with his mother, father, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. He met and married his wife of 69 years, Jewell Lulamae Glenn. Five of their 6 children were born in Okla. Their youngest was born in Ore. where they settled 50 years ago. He worked at North Santiam Paving until he retired in 1975 at the age of 62. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing, socializing with family and friends and gardening with his wife. He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family. He is preceded in his death by his wife, Jewell, who passed away in 2008; and his 3 brothers, Frank, George Benjamin, and Elmer. He is survived by his sisters, Ethel, Nadine, Georgie, and Bernice; his sons, Jerry Sanders, Johnny Sanders, and Jimmy Sanders; his daughters, Mary Jones, Beatrice Farthing, and Teresa Adas; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m., October 16, 2009 at Weddle Funeral Home, 1777 North Third Ave., Stayton. Questions regarding services can be directed to 503-769-2423.
