Gary J. Knapp

Gary Jack Knapp, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born on December 15, 1935 in Los Angeles, California. Gary is survived by the love of his life of 66 years, Joan, and children Daniel, Cheryl, Mike and Laurie. He also has a sister Linda and several grand and great grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Adams and his brothers Bob and Bill. He also had his Uncle Frank, Aunt Dode and Grandma Dulcie who lead by example and gave him strong core values. Those who knew Gary, loved his sense of humor, and that he was a country boy at heart, who loved raising cattle and spending time with his family. Gary liked camping, fishing, country music and his dog Smiley. He was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. He worked for 36 years as a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter and was a proud member of Local Union 669 for over 60 years. Gary will be greatly missed. “Until We Meet Again” gathering will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints 1400 Western Ave. in Stayton on December 17, 2021 at 1:00pm.
