Floye Mae Mccary

FLOYE  MAE  McCARY February 19, 1943 – February 8, 2011 Floye was born in Marion, Oregon to Isom and Thelma (Whisenhunt) Stinnett.  She grew up in Turner and graduated from Cascade High School.  She attended Nursing School in Texas and later graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Oregon State University in the Financial Aid Dept until 1996.    She married Robert McKibben in 1963, they later divorced.  She married Milburn McCary in 1983.  Pasco, Washington became their home in 1997.  They retired after managing storage units and apartments.   Six years ago they moved to Mena, Arkansas to be close to her family and care for her sisters.   She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, getting massages and was an avid reader. She is survived by her beloved husband, Milburn of Arkansas; sons, Jonathan (Becky) McKibben of Jefferson, Shannon (Gina Loraine) McKibben of Jefferson, Steven (Ramona) McKibben of Mosier, Robert McKibben of Eugene; sister, Delma Craig of Mena, Arkansas; brother, Gary (Diane)Stinnett of Portland; niece, Teressa Brooks of Stayton; and 6 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Eve and sister Ellen. Funeral service will be held Sat. Feb. 12th, 2011 at 11:00 am at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton, OR.  Burial will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
