Eugene Edward Broeke, Jr.

Eugene “Junior” Edward Broeke, Jr was born on March 22, 1955, to Eugene Sr. and Audrey (Bartlett) Broeke in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Junior was just one of eight children in a large family. Junior would serve in the United States Army and throughout his life Junior would live in Oregon and Alaska. While in Alaska he would meet his future wife, Regina. While living in Alaska, Junior would work as an Alaskan sanitation service driver. Eventually, he would move back to Oregon and he and Regina would marry at the Weddle Funeral Service Chapel and were blessed with three children. While living in Oregon, Junior would work as a cook, lumber mill and was a handy man. He also enjoyed collecting coins and playing dice games. Junior was very quick at math and was excellent at playing dice! Over the years, Junior made many friends that he kept in touch with. He was also close with his siblings and willing to give them a hand whenever they needed it. Junior passed away on December 15, 2021, in Sublimity, Oregon at age 66. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Charles “Chuck” Broeke and Jeannie Sterrett. He is survived his children, Allen Broeke, Cora Gonzales and Dawn (Carl) Dietrich; grandchildren, Kira, Robert and Rallie, Johnathan, Cheyenne, Kenneth and Christian; siblings, Ruth Ann Troyer, Ken (Debra) Broeke, Gary Broeke, Donna Broeke, Brit Broeke. A service with military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on March 22, 2022 at 11:30 AM.
