Eugene E. Horchler

EUGENE  E.  HORCHLER Oct. 12, 1941 – Dec. 13, 2010 Salem, Oregon Eugene Horchler was born at Riverview, Michigan on the 12th day of October, 1941.  He passed away at his home in Salem on Dec. 13th.  He was 69.  The son of John and Edna Horchler.  Eugene lived on the east coast before moving to California where he lived before moving to Salem in 1980.  He was married to Annette Lelack.  He had served in the US Marine Corps during peacetime and had owned his own electronic manufacturing business called the Grinding Wheel.  He then worked as a long haul truck driver before retiring and then auto body work.  He enjoyed the outdoors, he loved fishing, camping and hunting, he will be missed by his hunting buddy “Moose” his chocolate Labrador, they were very close. He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette of Salem; daughter, Gina (Jeff) Bourgeois of Seattle, WA; sons, Chris (Allison) Shepherd of Lyons and Darrell (Harmonie) Shepherd of Keizer; brother, George Horchler of Ohio; sisters, Montie Fultz of Ohio, Janetta York and Alice Arnold both of Florida; 7 grandchildren; and 8 nieces and nephews. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to a Charity of Choice Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.
