Eric Ellis

Eric Leonard Ellis (Age 57) On September 18, 2018, Eric Leonard Ellis, of Detroit, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly as a result of a car accident. He was born October 20, 1960, in Fairfax, Virginia, the son of Joni Denn and the late Robert Ellis. In addition to his mother, he is survived by Mark Ellis and son Andrew, Scott Ellis and Scott Drummond and children Charlotte and Parker, Kim Crocker and Frank Zych and children Lauren and Joe, Kelly Ellis and children Jordan and Ryan, Leigh Ann Ellis and children Katherine and Kristin, Barbara Ellis, Stephen Hess, Robert and Diana Hess and children Caitlyn and Christopher, Mary Beth and Jack Richards and son Cal, Susanne and Justin Pelham-Webb and children Arthur and Bobbie, and Barbie and Jeff Plummer and son James. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Ellis. Eric graduated from James W. Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA, and Virginia Tech, where he studied engineering. He was a member of the worker-owned cooperative Breitenbush Hot Springs Retreat and Conference Center in Detroit, OR, at the time of his death. He will be remembered for his kindness, goodness, and love for his family and friends. A service will be held on September 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Breitenbush Hot Springs Retreat and Conference Center located at 53000 Breitenbush Rd. SE Detroit, OR 97342.
