Elsie Mae Pietrok

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm at Weddle Funeral Service located at 1777 N. Third Ave. Stayton, OR 97383. Followed by a funeral service at Calvary Lutheran Church located at 198 Fern Ridge Rd. Stayton, OR 97383 on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1pm.
Elsie Mae Pietrok, born on September 16, 1939, in Whitefish, Montana, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Andrew Pietrok, with whom she shared a joyous union from March 8th, 1969, until his passing in 2018. Elsie was the daughter of Elsie (Herrmann) Strong and Leonard Strong.
Elsie's life was filled with love, family, and countless cherished moments. She was an only child until her marriage in 1969, after which she gained loving sisters and brothers-in-law: Rose (Bud) Rush, Harold (Alyce) Pietrok, Harry Pietrok (dec.), Molly (Leland) Hartmann, and Wilma (Elmer) Goodwin.
Elsie's devotion to family extended to her own children: Jodeana and Matthew. She was a loving and wonderful mother. That warmth and love further expanded through her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elsie's educational journey included Salem Heights Elementary, Leslie Junior High, and South Salem High School, where she graduated in the Class of 1957. Her diverse places of residence included Whitefish, Montana until the age of 6 when her family moved to Salem, Oregon. For the last 49 years she resided in Aumsville.
For nearly four decades, Elsie dedicated her professional life to State Farm, retiring at the age of 57 to focus on caring for her grandchildren. In her leisure time, she indulged in various hobbies, including spending quality time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, traveling, snow-birding in Arizona, road tripping, camping, enjoying lunches out and trips to the casino. Elsie had an adventurous spirit and through her life created many lasting memories with her family.
Elsie was a selfless, kind, and caring individual, who loved everyone unconditionally. Her strong work ethic and genuine love for fun endeared her to those around her. She worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being and happiness of her loved ones, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Elsie was preceded in death by her grandson Malcom Murrell, husband Raymond Pietrok, and parents Elsie and Leonard Strong.
Survived by her children, Jodeana (Darin) Leigh (Pietrok) Knutson and Matthew (Alicia) Vincent Pietrok; siblings, Rose (Bud) Rush, Harold (Alyce) Pietrok, Molly (Leland) Hartmann, Wilma (Elmer) Goodwin; grandchildren, Alan Ahlman, Mandy Murrell, Bryanna Walker, Luke Knutson, Madelynn Knutson-Hunt, Sean Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Kaelyn Taylor, Abbigail Taylor, Cora Pietrok, Violet Pietrok; great grandchildren, Malcom Murrell, Lottie Murrell, Tripp Murrell, Darlene Ahlman, Suanna Kyle, Robert Kyle.

Elsie Mae Pietrok will be dearly missed but forever remembered through the countless lives she touched with her love and warmth.
