Elmo Benjamin Crapser, a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024. He was born on May 23, 1941, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Elmo and Hazel (Criuckhank) Crapser.

Elmo married the love of his life, Janice Bates, on August 1, 1958, in San Diego, California. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, spanning decades until her passing. Together, they built a family rooted in compassion and care.

Elmo had a passion for life's simple joys. He loved reading, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, taking leisurely walks with dogs, and admiring the beauty of trains. He had an unwavering dedication to his family and his community, touching countless lives with his generosity and warmth.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice; his son, Kevin Crapser; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Elmo's legacy live on through his children including his son Kevin who passed on before him and his wife Susan; son. Ron (Melody) Crapser; son, Darrell (Connie) Crapser, and daughter, Treva (Roy) Hari. He was a proud grandfather to Shawn, Karla, Roger, Erica, Jordan, Dallas, Danielle, Lynsey, Austin, Alexis, Paula and Brandie, and a great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Elmo will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
