Ellen Louise Thomas

Ellen Louise Thomas November 27, 1919 November 22, 2010 Ellen Thomas passed away November 22, 2010.  She was born in Metzger, Oregon on November 27, 1919, the youngest of four children and only daughter of Peter and Opal (Harlin) Kenney.  She was married to Charles Thomas for forty-three years.  Charles and Ellen had a wonderful full life together which included a life changing-move from Portland, OR to Fairbanks, AK when in their fifties.  They returned to the Lower forty-eight to begin a wonderful retirement in 1982.  Ellen was a wonderful mother and wife who was proud of her sons and loved all her grand and great grandchildren.  She was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed a bit of the hair of the dog!  Her interests included golfing, knitting and caring for her dog Taco.  She was proceded in death by her husband, mother and father and brothers Dick, Jim and Bud.  She is survived by two sons; Rick (Cathy) Sergeant, Chuck (Sally) Sergeant, five grandchildren; Chris, Kati, Kevin (Eva), Jenny (David) Fessler, Chelsea (Clint) Melsha, Two great Grandchildren; Autumn and Macy Fessler A Memorial Mass will be said for her at a later date and she will be buried next to her husband Charles at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon
