Elaine Ann Waterman

Elaine Ann Waterman was born November 27,1934 in Spencer, Nebraska to Fred and Eldora (Birkholz) Robertson. After graduating from Bandon High School she married Gerald Waterman on October 1, 1954 and they were happily married for 63 ½ years.

Elaine and Gerald lived in Coquille, Oregon until retirement when they moved to the Willamette Valley in 1996 to be near their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved joining her cherished friends when living in Coquille at Frazier’s Bakery for daily coffee and chit chats. Elaine was a blessed homemaker where she spent her days reading, doing needlepoint and checking up on her family. Elaine loved family, never missed a holiday, birthday or any family occasion. She loved watching her grand / great grand children play sports. Elaine was very crafty, and an avid plastic canvas artist where she made numerous items throughout the year for friends and family. Elaine was very analytical and meticulous, which showed throughout her life and would teach her children and grand-children that as well. Elaine was always the rock of the family keeping all memorabilia of achievements and adventures.

Elaine was preceded in death by her baby daughter Diane, loving husband Gerald, grandson Andrew, parents Fred and Eldora, as well as siblings Edna, Eileen, Phyllis, Edwin, Glen, and Marvin. Survived by son Donnie Waterman (Tracy), daughter Debi Thorpe (Doug), 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 siblings.

Services will be held at her family home in Jefferson, Oregon on Sunday, January 15, 2023; all are welcome to come talk story and share memories.
