Edward Ned Ingham April 9, 1934 March 16, 2017 Stayton, Oregon Edward (Ned) Russell Ingham (82) passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at his home in Stayton, Oregon.  He was born near Seattle, Washington, to James and Sarah Ingham.  Ned married Margaret (Peggy) Thompson, his wife of 57 years, on September 13, 1959 in Oceanside, California, when he was stationed as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps, at Camp Pendleton. He attended four years at the University of Washington, where he lettered on the men’s crew team (’55-’56).  After his military service, he went on to obtain his Juris Doctor degree in Los Angeles, California.  Much of his career was spent in Life Insurance and Financial Services.  He eventually moved his family from Southern California to Denver, Colorado in 1988, to head the Colorado branch for Acacia Life Insurance Company. Ned enjoyed martial arts, obtaining his 3rd degree black belt in karate.  He had an ear for all forms of jazz music from Big Band, and The Blues, to Contemporary Jazz.  He loved ballroom dancing, and, in fact, first met his wife Peggy on the dance floor of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a dance instructor and taught him how to effortlessly glide through the Waltz and the Fox Trot.  With her, he shared a love for animals, and for the beauty of Colorado.  His greatest passion, however, was that for Christ, to whom he forever gave his heart in 1973. He is predeceased by his wife Peggy (82), who passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016.  The night before he peacefully joined her, he exclaimed to his three children, that he could see her moving all around him. Ned is survived by his children:  Laura (Steve) Abert, Claire (Jerry) King, and Mark; grandchildren:  Catherine and James; nephew:  James (Darla) Buccalo.
