Eddie Franklin Taylor was born on February 20, 1951, in Lebanon, Oregon to Jackie and Mary (McKeown) Taylor. He was the oldest of 5 siblings’ other siblings, and throughout his early years would grow up in Albany, Oregon. He would attend West Albany High School but would leave high school and earn a GED. Eddie would later enlist in the United States Army and would be honorably discharged in 1972. Eddie would meet his first wife in high school, Lowrie Arther and they would marry in 1968 and blessed with their two children, Kari and Stephanie. Eddie and Lowrie would divorce. In 1980 he would marry Nancy Middleberg whom he also had met in high school, and they would go on to have Tami, Danielle and Matthew. Eddie would start a long-haul trucking career with Swift, but later became the owner/operator of his own semi. He would have accounts with several companies throughout the area. When not working, Eddie loved riding Harley Davidsons and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Family was his top priority and spending time with them was most important. Eddie also had a soft spot for his dogs over the years. He had several special dogs over the years and most recently was his “Gibbs”. On May 17, 2022, Eddie passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his soul mate and wife, Nancy Taylor; his father, Jackie Taylor; sister, Dena Nelson and grandparents on both sides. He is survived by his children, Tamara (Jeremy Deal) Johnson, Kari (Dave) Morton, Stephanie (John Kuenzi) Taylor, Danielle (Jason) Shepherd, Matthew (Jennifer) Taylor; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Alexis, Jadynne, Devon, Airikah, Kathryn, Kyleigh, Justize, Anthony, Brooklynn, Avary, Julian, Ayden, Jayce, Kash, Eliace, Addie, Anakin, Raelynn, Ellie, Mikayla, Jasmine, Quincy; siblings, Connie Tester, Susan Caldwell, Dena Nelson, and Mark Nelson. If Eddie could be remembered for anything, his family hopes that you will always remember his wonderful sense of humour. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 3:30 PM in Aumsville, Oregon.
