“Ed” H. Lueders July 21, 1926 – March 3, 2010 Marion, OR Ed was born in Weehawken, New Jersey where he grew up and then joined the Navy. He served overseas in Japan for the Navy during WWII as a hospital corpsman. After his discharge he attended Rutgers University where he received his degree in Engineering. He married Arlene and she preceded him in death at an early age. He moved his family to Arizona and later to California where he worked as an industrial engineer. He met and married Joyce Page in March of 1981. They later moved to Marion, Oregon where he took pride in being a tree farmer growing Doug Firs and Ponderosa Pine trees. He loved to read and also enjoyed the medium of oil paints recreating masterpieces and new landscapes. He was a member of the Marion Friends Church and used his gifted voice to read scriptures. He and Joyce briefly owned and operated the Dutch Treat Bakery in Jefferson. Joyce, his wife of 29 years survives him along with sons; Mark Lueders of India, David Lueders of Pleasant Hill, CA, Seth Lueders of San Jose, CA, stepchildren; Meg Thies of Santa Barbara, CA, Sara McCorkle Bowers of El Cajon, CA, Cary McCorkle of San Pedro, CA, Robert McCorkle of Portland, OR and 10 Grandchildren. Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Memorial Services following at Marion Friends Church at 5997 Stayton Road SE Marion, OR Contributions to Marion Friends Church.
