Doyle Dennis Wohlers

Doyle Dennis Wohlers was born on September 13, 1928 in St. Paul Nebraska to Harry and Anna (Johnson) Wohlers. He would grow up in Nebraska and would marry his wife, Verna in 1947.  In 1948 they would move to Lebanon, Oregon. In the early part of 1950, Doyle was badly injured in a logging mill accident and decided to go back to Nebraska. In 1961 he would move back to Oregon where he would live in Corvallis, Albany and Lebanon. Eventually he would own his own automotive sales company which was first called University Motors but eventually became Doyle’s Auto Sales. Doyle was a true salesman and enjoyed talking to people. He would have his automotive sales business for 15 years and eventually would retire. In retirement, he and Verna would travel to Yuma, Arizona where they could snowbird. Throughout his life Doyle enjoyed hunting deer and elk in addition to salmon fishing. He also was a tremendous ballroom dancer who could also jitter bug. For the last 4 years Doyle was living in Lebanon, Oregon where he passed away on January 15, 2020 at age 91. He was preceded in death by his wife Verna and two sons, Jerry and Bradley. He is survived by his son, Rick; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
