Dolores Marler

Dolores Marler (Buckles) was born in September 1928, in Portland, Oregon to Clyde and Ethel Buckles. The family would move to Eugene, Oregon where she would go on to graduate from Eugene High School with the class of 1947. A few years after high school she would marry Jim Marler in Eugene, Oregon in August of 1954.  Dolores spent most of her life as a homemaker. Dolores loved dogs, and had many over the years -- Dutchie, Penny, Cindy, Pierre, Babe -- leaving Daisy on her passing. She was also an avid gardener and loved roses.  On August 28, 2021, Dolores passed away in Corvallis, Oregon. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Clyde and Ethel, and husband James Marler. She is survived by her children, Paul, Bruce (Molly), and Jill (David); her sister, Carol (Richard); grandchildren, Tessie (Joe), Jane (Arthur), and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Desmond, Arthur, and Molly; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.   Please honor Dolores by letting kindness, humor, gentleness, empathy, and love guide your life.
