Dick Lee Wallace October 24, 1945 September 29, 2010 Turner, OR. On September 29, 2010, Dick Wallace passed away peacefully surrounded by the family he loved. Dick faced his destiny with courage and dignity. Dick was born October 24, 1945, to Fred and Blanche Wallace. He grew up on the family farm in North Santiam. He graduated from Cascade High School in Turner and went on to serve a distinguished tour in the U.S. Air Force. Dick was everything to Barabara, his wife of 36 years, and his four children made his world go round. Dick loved working on the farm and he had many skilled jobs. The one he enjoyed the most was working with his friends at Sun Belt Rentals. The thing that Dick enjoyed most was barbecues with family and friends on his deck, and hunting and fishing with his buddies. Dick is survived by his wife, Barabara; his children, Donovan (Kari), Shelley, Richard, Anna (Matt Stirrett); and his four grandchildren, Blayk, Austin, Will and Georgia. Dick is also survided by his mother, Blanche; and brothers, Ron, Jerry and Willard (Kay). A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton, Oregon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made at a later date to a scholarship fund.
