Diane Lynn Spencer

Diane was born on September 7, 1954 in Portland, Oregon to John and Arlene (Valentine) Stevenson. Diane attended and graduated from West Linn High School. After school, she decided to enroll in beauty school and would mainly work in the Salem area at several salons doing hair and nails. Eventually, Diane would begin an in home salon that she would manage until she decided to retire. She would marry the love of her life, Robert “Bubba” Spencer in 1981. Diane would also help Robert manage their business “Spencer Trucking”. Besides work, Diane loved to spend time in Florence, Oregon and enjoy riding quads on the dunes. Her best days were probably spent outdoors camping and spending time with family. Throughout her life, Diane was an avid reader but recently enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku and puzzle books. Diane lived in Salem for many years before retiring in Sublimity for the last 10 years and most recently living in West Linn to be close to her sister, Joan. Diane passed away on January 17, 2021 at age 66 and is now reunited with her beloved Robert. She is survived by her children, Charles Spencer (wife, Kristy), Dustin Spencer (partner, Brianna Carmichael) and Tiffany Spencer; and her grandchildren, Tierra Owen, Reese Martinez-Salgado, Makinzie Martinez-Salgado, Jackson Martinez-Salgado, Grayson Martinez-Salgado, Clayton Carmichael and David Lee Spencer in addition to her sister, Joan Weslyn Stevenson. Private services, however, family and friends can make donations on the Tribute tab on Diane’s obituary page to help with funeral expenses.
