Diane was born on June 30, 1944 in Vallejo, California. She graduated from Armijo High School, Fairfield CA, in 1962. Diane began a career in banking, starting as a teller and working her way to loan officer until retiring in early 1994. Diane lived in Benicia CA for 40 years before moving to Dallas OR in 2012. She met her husband, Donald through mutual family members. They married on September 19, 1981 and were married for almost 40 years. Together, they enjoyed being members of the black powder gun club of the Solano Muzzle Loader’s Association which enjoyed primitive camping, shooting and exploring the mountain man and native ways. Diane was a true artist who enjoyed the mediums of painting, working with gourds, burn etching and painting on glass. But most of all, family was the most important thing to her. She made sure her parents, George and Emilie Rose were well taken care of by moving them into their own apartment above the garage so they were nearby. Diane passed away at age 76 in Dallas, Oregon on August 20, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Leslie (Georgie) Rosal; and brother, Bobby (Lani) Rose; grandchildren, Jeremy and Astoria, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Diane’s name to an organization that supports Dementia or Alzheimer’s.
