March 17, 1953 ~ April 2, 2014 Dennis Wayne Luhr was born to Delmer and Velda Luhr in Nampa, Idaho.  He was his Mothers pride and joy.  In May 1978 with the passing of his Mother he moved to Salem with his Uncle Bob and Aunt Vicki and cousins Kim & Eric.  At the time of his death he was still living with Aunt Vicki.  In 1981 they moved to Lebanon and he went to work at Center Enterprise in Albany.  Through the Center, he went to work at Roths IGA and worked there for over 17 years.  Dennis retired from the Center in November of 2011.  He was so proud that he had worked long enough to be able to retire.  He love to go fishing, dancing and bowling.  Due to blindness he had to give up the bowling, fishing and playing pool.  But he still had a mean dance step.  He was preceded in death by his Mother, Velda Newbold, Uncle Robert Myres, Aunts; Lavella Bash and Beverly Myres.  Special Friend, Rick Millican.  Dennis touched a lot of peoples lives and he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.  Dennis is survived by his brothers; Jon and Skip Newbold, sisters; Judy Coulter, Geri Newbold and Marlena Thomas, brother in law Daylen, Aunt Vicki Myres,. Aunt & Uncle Shirley and Earl Gilliland, Naomi & Larry Perdue, cousins; Kim and Manuel Espinoza, Eric and Tonya Myres and many other cousins and nieces and nephews.   Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Southside Church of Christ in Lebanon, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
