Denise Diane Brown, born on April 28, 1960, in Oregon City, Oregon, to Gentry Cutsforth and Ginger Finch, left this world on January 23, 2024, at Santiam Hospital in Stayton, Oregon. She was a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Denise's early years were spent in Canby, Oregon, where she attended school and laid the foundation for the caring and nurturing person she would become. Denise embraced the role of a devoted mother and homemaker, filling her home with the comforting sounds of pots and pans in her bustling kitchen.
Her husband, William, and children, Daren, Chad, and Jordon, were the center of her world. Denise had a passion for cooking. Among her best creations were her homemade pizza and lasagna, crafted with love and shared with family and friends.
Denise found joy in simple pleasures – getting her hands dirty in the garden, cultivating fresh vegetables, fishing on the Santiam River, Polina Lake, or Detroit Lake, and relishing camping adventures. Her friendly and approachable nature allowed her to strike up conversations with anyone, making her a cherished presence in the lives of those around her.
For the past 12 years, Denise resided in Mill City, Oregon, where she continued to create a loving home for her family. She shared a deep bond with her husband, William Brown, whom she married on January 21, 1989. Their enduring love was evident as they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary together in the hospital, just two days before Denise's passing.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Chad Cutsforth. She leaves behind a grieving yet loving family, including her husband, William D. Brown; children, Derrick Brown, Daren Cutsforth and Jordan Brown; sisters, Renee Shaw and Gayle Cutsforth; and grandchildren, Zelda, Everett, and Kage.
