David's devotion extended beyond his marriage, encompassing his children, Cherie and her husband John Moneyhan in North Carolina, and Matthew Arbuckle and his wife Taundra in Oregon. His pride and joy were magnified in the presence of his grandchildren—Lynnette, Kyle, Levi, Justin, and Vanessa—and great-grandchild, Hailey. Among David's treasures were his siblings Cherry Hoffman and Angel Ocasio, along with the cherished memories of the late Leon Arbuckle and Bill Hoffman. whose presence lingered in his heart and stories.


Upon retirement from the US Navy, David sought solace and camaraderie within the harmonies of the Silvertones, a community that echoed his passion for music. His interests were as varied as they were deep-rooted—music, cooking, and the artistry of woodworking became outlets through which he expressed his creativity and found solace.
