David Allen Fisher

David A. Fisher was born on November 20, 1934 in the state of Wisconsin to David Fisher and Edla Johnston. H is family soon moved to Foster, Oregon where he gr e w up . David graduate d from South Albany High School with the class of 1953. After high school, David join ed the United States Marine Corps until he was honorably discharged in 1957 with the rank of Sergeant. During his time in the service, he serve d in Korea and then later in the position of Drill Instructor at Camp Pendleton.

David met his wife, Billie Colleen Crosley at a dance on the base at Camp Pendleton, they got married in Las Vegas on New Years Eve, 1956. They lived in Gardena California for 34 years and then moved to Lebanon, Oregon when they retired where they resided for the last 32 years.

David worked in the aerospace industry after leaving the Corp where he learned and mastered the trade of a Machineist, making parts that were used on the Nasa Space Shuttles, the B1 Bomber and various other high level projects. He continued working in the areospace industry until he retired.

David enjoyed working in his shop, tinkering on personal projects, fixing machines and things for his neighbors, and creating new useful gadgets. He was well trained in martial arts by Chuck Norris in the 60's and advanced on to teach martial arts for Chuck in his string of schools in the 70’s.

On May 14, 2022 David passed away at his home in Lebanon, Oregon. He was preceded in passing by his wife of nearly 66 years Colleen; two younger brothers, Gary and Vernon; and two older sisters, Edla June and Gloria. David is survived by his daughter, Donna (Greg) Poteete; grandchildren, Mitchell and Jason (Kayla); great-grandchildren, Vincent, Jocelyn, Draven, and Caige; and siblings, Patricia, Paula, Beth, B a Betty and Diane.
