David Alan Crossan, born on November 4, 1951, in Lebanon, Oregon, passed away on August 21, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of service, adventure, and passion.
As a young man, David answered the call to duty and enlisted in the Army National Guard. His courage led him to serve in Vietnam, where he faced both hardship and camaraderie. After his military service, David transitioned into civilian life, embarking on a career as long haul trucker, and later as a pilot car driver. He enjoyed the open road life for many years.
Beyond his professional pursuits, David had a deep love for firearms and ammunition. He relished the craftsmanship and history behind each piece. He also put craftsmanship into intricate wooden designs—a testament to his passion for woodworking.
David was proceeded in death by his parents Lee Crossan and Naomi Haggard Crossan Barnett. He leaves behind siblings Patty, Bob, Linda, Terry, Bonnie, Sandra, Jerry, and several step-siblings. He also leaves behind his daughter Temeka Davis Cline of Albany, Oregon and Amber Williams of Tennesee, and his grandchildren Hunter and Emily.
In the quiet moments, we remember David’s laughter, his stories, and the way he embraced life’s journey. As we say our goodbyes, we honor a man who lived authentically, leaving footprints on the roads and in our hearts.
