Daniel Leon Smith

Daniel Leon Smith, departed this world on March 25, 2024, in Bend, Oregon. He was born on April 28, 1955, in Lebanon, Oregon, Daniel was the cherished son of Herbert and Wanda (Love) Smith.

Daniel's journey began in Lebanon, Oregon, where he spent his formative years. He pursued his education with diligence and graduated from Cascade Union High School in 1974. Following his graduation, Daniel made Bend, Oregon, his home for the last four decades.

Throughout his life, Daniel was known for his love of sports and his passion for spending quality time with his loved ones. Whether he was on the golf course, softball field, baseball diamond, or cheering on his favorite football team, Daniel's enthusiasm for sports was contagious. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Smith; his mother, Wanda Love; and his brother, Allen. Although he has departed from this world, Daniel's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving children, Shawn Smith and Stacey Tilden; in addition to many extended family members and friends.

A graveside service to honor Daniel's life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Turner Twin Oaks Cemetery in Turner, Oregon. This service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to gather, reminisce, and pay their final respects to a beloved son, father, brother, and friend.

May Daniel Leon Smith's soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and solace to all who knew and loved him.
