Cynthia "Cindy" Clifford

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on May 5, 2018 at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton, Oregon for Cynthia “Cindy” Clifford who passed away on April 23, 2018 in Salem, Oregon at age 77. Cindy was born on October 11, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa to Vincent and Martha (Reece) Larson. After graduating from high school, Cindy moved to Denver, Colorado where she would meet her future husband James F. Clifford while he was in the Marine Corps working recruitment duty. They married on December 21, 1962 and later moved to Christmas Valley, Oregon in 1972, followed by a move to Aumsville in 1974. From 1979-1994 Cindy was an office manager for Pict Sweet Mushrooms. For 60 years Cindy was a sorority sister with Beta Sigma Phi and held several officer positions throughout her induction. She enjoyed spending time with her sorority sisters very much. In addition, Cindy was a Master Gardner and would volunteer at Marion-Polk Food Share with them as part of the program. Besides her love of gardening, Cindy enjoyed cooking and was a voracious reader. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann and is survived by her husband James Clifford and daughter, Kristina Hill; sister, Martha Jane Edgeton; brother, Marvin Larson and 1 grandson, James H. Clifford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in her name to Marion-Polk Food Share.
