Curtis Scott Beighley was born on August 17, 1966, in Albert Lea Minnesota to Jackie and Ruth (Broskoff) Beighley. At age 7 his family moved to Oregon where Curtis would be involved with baseball and weightlifting. While in high school Curtis would play in the Babe Ruth Little League Series in both New York and Canada, ending their tournament as fourth in the nation. He graduated from North Salem High School in 1984. Upon graduating, Curtis would enlist in the United States Marine Corps and serve his country honorably from 1984 until 1988. After his military service, he would work in corrections in Ohio State and in Oregon. Most recently he was working for a ready-mix concrete company as a driver. Besides work, he had multiple hobbies such as playing league softball, bowling, and watching Atlanta Braves games. But most of all Curtis enjoyed spending time with his children and family. If it wasn’t a family BBQ, a meal around a table or playing cornhole- he never passed a moment to be with the ones he loved. Known as the “Beef Man” to many, Curtis was boisterous and the life of the party. He often would say to his family joking “Sensuous up, get me a beer” or “hey sensuous up can you get me that?”. There is no doubt that Curtis had an incredible sense of humor. On September 19, 2021, Curtis left this world far too early, but his legacy will always remain in the hearts and minds of his family. He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Beighley in addition to Grandpa and Grandma Broskoff and a nephew, Micheal. He is survived by his parents, Jackie and Ruth Beighley; children, Kylee (Justen) Crittenden, Josh (Heather) Beighley, Mick Beighley and Kioko Beighley; sister, Holli Beighley; grandchildren, Adalyn, Abigail, Brock, and Mark.A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2pm at Weddle Funeral Service. A celebration of life will immediately follow the service at a different location.
