Cody Alan Daniel Ellis Profile Photo

Cody Alan Daniel Ellis was born on November 20, 1996 in Salem, Oregon to Nathan Ellis and Juanita Mitchell. From the very beginning Cody was known for his happy personality and trying to ensure everyone around him was also happy. He was a practical joker and never took anything seriously. Most of the time if you caught him on camera he was usually sticking his tongue out in the photograph, trying to get a good laugh from everyone around him. He was always the life of the party and brought laughter to everyone around him. Cody attended Cascade High School in Turner, Or and his junior year of high school moved to Greeley, Colorado where he graduated from Jefferson High School in 2014. He also lived and worked in Mill City in addition to Stayton and most recently lived in Marion. Cody enjoyed mudding, camping and having a beer/bonfire with his friends. He was incredibly passionate about his cars and from age 16 to current, had owned and traded 74 cars. Apart of his love for cars was also his love for big bass stereo equipment- Cody loved that ‘boom-boom’ sound. He definitely took his cars very seriously and tried his hand at repairing them too. He was a big fan of the Fast and Furious movie franchise and would often quote “Doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning is winning”. Cody had an amazing spirit and his family and friends meant the most to him above all else. On Monday, October 1, 2018 Cody passed away in Salem, Oregon as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Steven Ward and aunt and uncle Shelly and Mark Stokes. He is survived by his mother, Nita Mitchell and step-dad Ryan Mitchell; father, Nathan Ellis and step-mom Susie Ellis; siblings, Anthony Ellis, Kayla and Nick Campa, and Nathan Ellis; grandparents, MisSea and Phil Boatman, Carl and Kim Ellis, and great-grandmother Marilyn McKibben, in addition to many, many friends who were very much like his family. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton, Oregon from 2 to 6pm.
