Claud Majors Profile Photo

Claudie was born on January 29, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas to RG and Nova (Palmer) Majors. When Claud was four, the family moved out west and settled first in Washington. Eventually he would live in the Turner/Aumsville area, Gervais, Stayton and for a short time Carson City, Nevada. Claudie attended school in Philomath, Oregon, finishing at Cascade High School in Turner, Oregon. Throughout his life, Claudie worked in construction. Out of high school, he began working at a Saw Mill in Turner but spent most of his life in construction. He was an incredibly hard worker who enjoyed keeping his hands busy and tinkering on any type of mechanical device or anything that needed fixing. He loved cars and especially his Harley Davidson. In the 70’s, he held first and second position in the circuit at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon where he especially enjoyed a good, old-fashioned demolition derby. As a father, grandfather, brother and son, Claudie was loving and generous. He had a gentle soul and would do anything he could to help friends and loved ones. About ten years ago, Claudie established an even deeper relationship with Christ and became incredibly faithful. He loved to share his testimony and the Gospel with anyone willing to listen. On September 9, 2019, Claudie passed away at age 70 at his home in Stayton, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held on September 22, 2019 at St. Anthony Hall in Sublimity at 1:00 PM. Arrangements entrusted with Weddle Funeral Service.
