Christine Marie Hatfield

Christine  M.  Hatfield Sept. 15, 1956   Aug. 30, 2010 Lyons, Oregon Christine Marie Hatfield was born on Sept. 15, 1956 in Fontana, California.  The daughter of Lester and Gladys Stepp. Chrissy,as her friends knew her, was a champion horse rider and won baking contests in her youth.  She grew up in California and graduated from Rim of the World high school in Lake Arrowhead, California.  She was married to Todd Hatfield in 1975 in California and they made their home in California before moving to Oregon where she had lived in Newberg and W. Salem before moving to Lyons in 2000.  She was a kind and caring mother and wife, and strong friend to those who knew her.  Among her many interests was a love for cats and of the comic character, Garfield, which was reflected in various collections of hers throughout the years.  She also enjoyed travelling and camping, seeing many sights and wonders, helping out with the Boy Scouts of America, and continued through her life a passion for cooking taught by her grandmother.  She is survived by her husband, Todd; son, Joseph; daughter, Michelle; mother, Gladys; brother, Jerry Stepp; and mother-in-law, Shirley Hatfield.
