Christi worked as a Clerk at Circle K and 7/11 for many years, until she recently retired in the summer of 2019. Many people would remark on her friendly disposition whenever she would assist them at the store. A simple stop to pick up and item could turn into an uplifting experience because of Christi’s kindness. She loved being around people, and she had a warm, caring nature. She had a kind word for every person that she met and had the gift of being able to instantly befriend anyone. She was an intensely compassionate and empathetic person who genuinely cared for the circumstances and troubles of everyone that she met. This and so many other reasons is what made her such a special and unique individual. Having a natural ability to craft, Christi loved to knit and crochet, and she was talented at beadwork. Faith study was an important part of her life, and at her request she wanted a celebration of life at the Methodist Church in Stayton. One of her greatest achievements was becoming a Certified Rapid eye Therapist. She was incredibly proud of earing her certification. Christi passed away on February 11, 2020 in Salem, Oregon after a brave fight against cancer. A huge void was left in the community the day Christi left this earth. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Christi was preceded in passing by her father. She is survived by her mother, Clarice; son, Steven Bynum; granddaughter, Alexis Bynum; and her sisters, Donna Barrington and Kathy Grahn.
