Carolyn D. Delker

Carolyn D. (Benway) Delker was born on December 26, 1942, in Orange California to Charles and Ruth Benway. She would graduate from high school and later in life meet Ron Delker at the Gates Fireman’s picknick/softball game in 1981 and they would marry on January 16, 1982, at the Gates Church. Carolyn was the best wife and mother a man could have. Together they would live at their home in Gates for 40 years. Carolyn loved oil painting, china painting, quilting, Rv’ing and attending quilt shows. Carolyn passed away on March 23, 2022, in Stayton, Oregon at age 79. She was preceded in death by her both parents a sister, Lavern Montiel. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ron Delker; son, Scott Sexton; grandchildren, Shanna, Justin, Kayla, Scott Jr., Austin, and Alyssa. Private family burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Gates, Oregon.
