Carol Jean Potts

April 16, 1948 – January 1, 2014 Carol passed away peacefully in her home January 1, 2014. Carol was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on April 16, 1948 to Mary Elizabeth and Ralph Edward Wright. She was the youngest of three children.                 On July 10, 1966, Carol married Virgil LeRoy Potts. In 1969 the couple welcomed their first-born daughter, Trina. In 1972 they welcomed their second-born daughter, Tania. In 1976, the family moved to Florida where Carol was employed at Walt Disney World and “every day was play day”. In 1979, the family moved to Oregon where she was later employed at The Home Depot. She then spent many years enjoying and caring for her three grandchildren.                 Carol was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, Ronald Wright. Carol is survived by: her husband, Roy; sister, Nancy (Ray) Kouns of Arizona; sister-in-law, Kathy Funk of Ohio; daughters Trina (Darby) Arneson and Tania (Chris) Bellin; and three grandchildren, Dalton and Kyra Arneson and Olivia Bellin.                 Carol enjoyed flower gardening, bargain hunting, keeping a beautiful home, and her family. She was an exceptionally caring, selfless person, always tending to others’ needs before her own. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.                 A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 11 at 1:00 P.M. at Weddle Funeral Services in Stayton, Oregon.
