Carla Fern Sauvageau, 79, of Hubbard, peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, August 27th, 2021. Carla was born October 6th, 1941, to Carl and Fern Mason in Independence, KS.  Her family moved to Boise, ID where she graduated from Borah High School and later met her husband of 46 years, Stanley “Sam” Sauvageau of Hubbard, OR.  She spent most of her life in Hubbard, OR.  Carla was retired from the state of Oregon Dept. of Revenue.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and helped raise her two grandchildren. She is considered her family’s “rock”.  Carla loved adventure, she enjoyed cruising in Alaska, traveling abroad on a Mediterranean cruise and countless camping excursions and road trips with her family.  Carla was very creative; knitting, sewing, painting, dough art, and doll making were some of her favorite pastimes. She was an avid gardener; beautiful plants and flowers of all varieties surrounded her home. Treasure hunting at local thrift stores and estates sales was another favorite hobby.  Carla is loved by many and will be forever missed. She is survived by her children, Curtis and Stacy; grandchildren, Amber and Amanda; greatgrandchild, Adam; sisters, Pam, Joy, and Jana; and sisters-in-law, Mary, Kerry, and JoAnn.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam; mother, Fern; and siblings, Mike, Karen, and Kenny.
