Carl Elton Budlong

Carl Elton Budlong was born on November 17, 1928 to parents Percy and Emma Budlong, in Salem, Oregon. Carl would spend his childhood in Oregon surrounded by his six siblings and other family, and later chose to serve his country as a United States Marine, where he was stationed in California. He would meet and marry his beloved wife Elaine in Vancouver, Washington, where they married on June 21, 1950. They were blessed with two sons, Pat and Randy, as well as four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Carl spent 44 years as a log truck driver, and spent his free time hunting, logging, working in his shop, and feeding the local deer while enjoying the outdoors. Carl passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his home of 72 years, on August 3 ^rd , 2022. He is preceded in death by parents Percy and Emma, his brothers Ralph, Jim, Dick, and sisters Lucille, and Nancy. Carl is survived by his loving wife Elaine, brother Bob and 2 sons Randy (Susan), and Pat (Norma) as well as 4 grandchildren, Roger, Heather, Emily, and Julia and 6 great-grandchildren. Carl will be sorely missed by his loved ones and friends, but their memories of him will serve to comfort them for many years to come.
