Carey Dean Mitchell

Lebanon- On Monday, September 28th, 2020 Carey Dean Mitchell, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 59.Carey was born on October 26th, 1960 in Castro Valley, Ca to Glenn and Karen (Kildebeck) Mitchell. He began his Drywall finishing trade with his dad at Tri-state Drywall. He continued his career in business for himself as well as working for large construction companies throughout Oregon. On March 24th, 1990, he married Colette Peden. Carey had one daughter, Melody and two sons Matthew M and Matthew G. Carey had a passion for animals and the outdoors. In every stage of life he would take care of many different types of animals from dogs and cats to turkeys and bunnies. Carey grew up in the mountains of Truckee, Ca and would share his love of the mountains with his family over the years with many camping and cabin trips. Carey loved his trade, taking his sons and some of his nephews on to teach them about his trade. He was also an avid bargain hunter, almost every one of his finds were unique. He was known for making people laugh, his infectious smile, his servant’s heart and his faith in Jesus. Carey was preceded in death by his father, Glenn, and his sister, Cindy. He is survived by his wife Colette, his three children, Matthew M, Melody, and Matthew G, his mother Karen, his sister Julie, four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
