Brian Thomas Winn was born December 21, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, to Edwin and Rita (Smith) Winn. He grew up in California and graduated from Santa Monica High School. Soon after high school Brian enlisted in the United States Navy and would go on to serve until being honorably discharged in 1966 as a EN3. After being discharged he then attend beauty college and would graduate with recognition. Over the years, Brian lived in California, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida, and Arizona. He worked for a time in communications at a cable company. While in Hawaii, Brian worked as a hairdresser and even apprenticed under Paul Mitchell. When he moved to Boulder, Colorado, he worked there as a hairdresser as well. Brian enjoyed classic cars, spending time with his grandson, and playing and watching golf. He was a PADI certified scuba dive master. Brian loved to fish in both the ocean and stream. He was a whiz at fixing and installing all things electronic. Brian had a wonderful sense of humor and a child-like sense of mischief. Brian was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ned. He is survived by his children Fleurie (Shawn) Grover, Cela (Shawn) Allgood, Timothy Asmus-Winn, and Trisina Asmus; and grandchildren Rayden Grover, Kellan Allgood, Kade Allgood, and Violette Allgood.
