Brenda Sue Carmen March 2, 1949 September 23, 2017 Salem, Oregon Brenda Sue (Erwin) Carmen was born on March 2, 1949 in Bakersfield, CA.   The daughter of Mitchell and Bessie Erwin.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, September 23rd.  She was 68 years of age.  Brenda traveled in her younger years but made Salem her home for the last 50 years.  She had worked as a C.N.A. and for medical transport.  Her goal was to provide loving care for the elderly.  She enjoyed puzzles, history, politics and being a grandmother, Zelda, casinos, crocheting and watching FOX news.  Brenda was a proud grandmother and loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.  She was honest and had strong opinions about most things in life. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved sisters, Dottie, Joanne and Stella.  She is survived by her children, Joe Erwin, John Hayward, Jeffery Hayward, Jessie Vasquez and Nonnie Gore; brothers and sisters, Carter, David, Mitch, Marlene, Darlene, John, Frank and Pearl; grandchildren, Cayden Vasquez, Hadlee Vasquez, Jessalyn Vasquez, Joe Austin Ramirez, Amelia Angst, Zayleigh Emerson.  Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 29th at 1:00 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel.  Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm also at Weddle Funeral Chapel.
