Brenda Lea Cole, who entered this world on August 24, 1961, in Denver, Colorado, and peacefully passed away on February 3, 2025, in Mill City, Oregon. Brenda’s life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and unwavering kindness.
Brenda's life was one of devotion, to the Lord first and then her husband and children. Brenda lived with purpose, dedicating herself to her calling—to teach and uplift others in their spiritual journeys. After earning her clerical degree, she worked diligently as a secretary and office staff member from 1990 to 2008, where her precision, dedication, and integrity left a lasting impression. Several times through the years she worked outside of the home as a secretary and Administrative Assistant. The skills she had learned while obtaining her clerical degree in college were used throughout her life professionally and in serving the Lord. Yet, her heart was always with the Lord and His teachings, and she devoted herself to guiding women and children in faith, sharing the beauty of scripture, and spreading the light of God’s love. She loved to lead the Vacation Bible School and worked all year on making it a special event. Her outgoing personality and thoughtfulness made her a huge asset wherever she went.
Her warmth and generosity were unmatched. Brenda had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She was a beacon of joy, radiating beauty not just in appearance but in the kindness of her soul and the selfless love she extended to those around her. She lived by the belief that true beauty is found in a heart devoted to serving others, and she embodied that belief every day of her life.
Brenda’s greatest joy was found in her family. She was a devoted mother to Chris, Danielle, Doug, and Robert, and a loving grandmother to Jayden, Haylie, Sydney, Alyssa, Kaylyn, Payton, Tate, Eli, and Aurora. Her siblings, Myrna, Greg, John, and Kevin, were dear to her heart, and she carried the memory of those who went before her—her parents, her brother Stan, and her beloved daughter Mandy—with love and reverence.
Though Brenda’s physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on. Her wisdom, laughter, and unwavering belief in the goodness of others will continue to inspire those she touched. As we mourn her passing, we also rejoice in the promise she held so dearly—that she now rests in eternal peace, embraced by the love of the Lord she so faithfully served.
In honor of her devotion to faith, memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, where her spirit of teaching and ministry will continue to bless others.
